2009 Child and Adolescent Immunization Schedules

There is growing concern that parents are reluctant to immunize their infants and children. Some are delaying immunizations, while others are avoiding them altogether for fear of side effects.

The recommended immunization schedules for persons aged 0 through 18 years and the catch-up immunization schedule for 2009 have been approved by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP).

Free printable 2009 child and adolescent immunization schedules, including catch-up schedules, suitable for office use are available at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Web site, www.cdc.gov/vaccines/recs/schedules.
