Update: Utilization Review for Our PPO-MultiPlan/PHCS Plans

MultiPlan/Private Healthcare Systems (MultiPlan/PHCS) provides a national network for certain Tufts Health Plan PPO plans. The MultiPlan/PHCS network designation is displayed on the Tufts Health Plan membership card for our PPO members who utilize the MultiPlan/PHCS provider network.

As you may recall, effective March 31, 2008, American Health Holding, Inc. (AHH) assumed responsibility for performing utilization review (UR) for Tufts Health Plan PPO MultiPlan/PHCS members in all states except those residing in or receiving services from providers in Rhode Island.

As of November 17, 2008, AHH will perform UR for all Tufts Health Plan PPO MultiPlan/PHCS members in all states, including Rhode Island. Providers and Tufts Health Plan PPO MultiPlan/PHCS members in all states should call AHH at 1-866-415-7143 with any UR-related questions or requests.
