USA Track & Field National 10K Championship

For the fourteenth time in the past fifteen years, the Tufts Health Plan 10K for Women has been selected by USA Track & Field (USATF) as the USA National 10K Championship race for women. History, tradition, prize structure, depth of field, and commitment to excellence are just some of the reasons that the race is recognized with the championship designation. The Championship is a USATF-sanctioned event and will be conducted in accordance with USATF Competition Rules.

Along with the championship, the Tufts 10K is also part of the 2008 Women's USA Running Circuit (USARC), a USA Track & Field road series featuring national championships. Results from all the championship races are used in determining the standings in the circuit and who will be eligible for the USARC championship prize money. Placing in the Championship is limited to U.S. citizens, and some of the best road racers in the country will be lining up for the honors.

Conventures, Inc. will also work closely with the New England Association of USATF to ensure that the race has broad participation and involvement from the local running community.
